It's been a long time since I read a comic book. I've not ever been a big graphic novel reader, but I spent a good portion of my youth devouring Superman, Batman and Archie comics. One of my favorites were the Bizarro world editions of the Superman series, in which everything was opposite. Good was bad. Evil was admirable. Weak was strong. Wrong was right. Sound familiar? Kash Patel to head the FBI? Linda McMahon to lead the Department of Education? Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense. And Elon Musk has that bizarro facial structure. Bizarro. But not funny. Not funny at all. Facing the flood of absurdities one must fight the exhaustion caused by the daily pummeling of presidential pronouncements. It would be funny if it wasn't so scary. We're not living in a comic book, so we have to fight the lethargy and find what we can do to make a difference.
